Vast quantities of paint

The irregularities of my brush strokes, in hindsight got slightly out of control and I probably would’ve preferred less paint but I am excited to continue painting in this style.

I made an attempt to cover all the things that I tend to be insecure about on my own body, to reflect the shame that is sometimes felt for some when looking in the mirror. Appearing almost like graffiti it allows the onlooker to concentrate further on the parts that are concealed, hidden beneath the surface of paint. This type of self exploration can be empowering.
