Championing the female form

This year I continued to explore the female form in order to discover a new level of significance when it comes to women painting women, for women.

In the words of writer Stephanie Wade, “Despite varying cultural ideals in an increasingly volatile time, one thing we can universally agree on is that there is no universally agreed-upon standard of what the ideal female form should be.”

Whilst the female form is still overly sexualised, and scrutinised - I decided to branch out and explore more diversity in my paintings. Championing the female form in different ways so to celebrate them.
